I can’t breathe.
I constantly feel like I’m not good enough as a feminist because I’m an artist and not a scientist. I feel like I should be trying to conquer the male-dominated land of science.
But then I remember that most professions are male-dominated anyway, and the arts have an extremely misogynistic history, and I don’t feel so bad. I’m a woman and I can do whatever the fuck I want.
NO SCHOOL FOR FOUR MONTHS. I CAN GO ON THE INTERNET WITHOUT FEELING GUILTY. I CAN READ THE BOOKS THAT I WANT. I DON’T HAVE TO COMMUTE 40 MINUTES BACK AND FORTH 3X A WEEK. THIS IS A GLORIOUS OCCASION.

but let’s not forget about the May 4th massacre at Kent State University in 1970. Some of the students wounded or killed weren’t even protesters. They were just on their way to class.
